Copy and Paste stops

Copy and paste stops working during RDP sessions (150 users). Some users restart their remote session and that works some times.

I have stopped and restarted the clipboard.exe, that will work sometimes too.

Is there a fix or a workaround for this?

Could it be a virtual memory issue?

Warning message on RemoteApp

Hello.

Please take a look on screenshot. This warning happens when user try to start RemoteApp. All certificates are public secured except Publishing certificate (it's created on local CA THAT IS TRUSTED BY USER). Server 2012 R2 and the clients are Win7\8.

Should we replace our local CA certificate with Public CA? Or it will stay warning us...

File system sync issues with remote desktop

We have a user here who is using various apps via remote app and desktop connection. After an period of time she will copy a file on a file system using her local PC, but that file will not be available to the session she has via the remote app for up to 5 mins. If she shuts the app down and reopens is immediately available,  and again will work for a while, before happening again...

Got me lost. No one else has this problem while it occurring to her... Any ideas anyone ?

The request cannot be processed because a recreate job is already running or is scheduled to run in this collection

I have a clustered environment with three servers supporting Hyper-V 2012R2 for VDI's running windows 8.1. I have the environment in production and running just fine! There is one virtual server for connection broker, and another for web access.

I have tried relentlessly to update / recreate the base image to update my VDI's without success due to an error shown below.

"The request cannot be processed because a recreate job is already running or is scheduled to run in this collection"

I have successfully updated the base image twice before without issues. The problem seemed to have stemmed from deleting one of the VDI's and now the job is stuck? Even though I can create a "job" to successfully remove one of the VDI's, I cannot create a VDI or schedule a recreation without getting this error.

I have used PowerShell to check for Jobs running or failed etc. But NO jobs are running or have failed. I have rebooted all the servers without any success of being able to "release" this mystery job, and now my environment cannot do anything but run the VDI's.

Please help?

Thanks

Have three 2008 R2 RDS servers in a server farm.  We deploy apps through remoteapp.  The remote app manager is very slow to open and once it is open when I try to add any apps or make any changes it takes a few minutes to pass between screens.

Remote Desktop Services SSO Login Repeat

Hello,

I have RDS 2012 r2 setup and working fine with SSO enabled. Except if I create a RPD file on my desktop and I click on it, when I'm connected to the domain it logs in with my locally logged on credentials onto the RDS Host. If I go external and connect to an Internet connection, then click on the icon it says that the it didn't accept my credentials and ask me to type them again. I type them in and it works, I've set this up before and it worked externally without asking for my credentials again. I have all my server fqdm setup correctly with certs etc. but it still wn't work!!

Any help would be fantastic.

rdweb authentication error 0x607

Hi,

I deployed a RDS 2012r2 with a self-singed certificate and everything worked until I changed the certificate with a third party cert.
I can still login using RDP from a client through RDS Gateway and broker .. is working, but when I try to log on through RDWeb I get the famous "authentication error 0x607" error.
Setting/changing the collection security to low ... is not working for me.I can't imaging that recreating the collection is the only solution to this.

Thank You,
Best Regards,

Windows 8.1 Pro cannot log into RemoteApp running on Windows Server 2012 R2

I have setup a vm running Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard and have enabled multiple RemoteApps.  Everything is setup correctly and I can use RD Web Access to access the portal and connect to the remoteapps from any computer except my own.  I am running Windows 8.1 Pro and when I log into the RD Web Access portal, click on one of the apps,  it looks like it's loading the session, but gets stuck on Preparing Windows.  Everything else up to that point looks like it loads correctly, (i.e. - Applying Group Policy Settings, applying desktop, etc...).  When I log into my Windows 7 dev machine, I can access and run everything just fine.  So there must be something between the Windows 8 and 2012 that isn't working quite right.

I have tried logging into the portal as myself and test users...same result.

any ideas?

Error removing a VM in a RDS 2012 R2 pooled collection

Hi,

I needed to remove 2 virtual machines in a RDS 2012 R2 pooled collection.

When I tried to remove them I got the following error: "Task: Calling into Hyper-V: failed. Result of task [0x80004005]".

I went and looked both in the Failover Cluster Manager and Hyper-V Manager and I didn't find the virtual machines.

In the server manager, their status is Stopped but I'm worried why I get this error.

Does anyone know how can I solve this?

Thanks in advance

One user cannot login to RDP via RDS gateway

Strange problem and I can't seem to find the source.

I have configured a single server for RDS windows 2012 R2.

I've tested with 4 users who all are seamingly the same.

All users ran RDP directly to the server locally.

One of those same users cannot RDP remotely through the RDS gateway.   It attempts to connect and says "remote desktop cannot connect to the remote computer "computername" for one of the folowing reasons

1) Not in RD gateway permissions

2) Using netbios format.

I"m using FQDN, I've actually saved the RDP connection to my computer for testing and the only thing I'm chaning is the user's name.  The user is a member of a user group who can log into the RDS.  I can even log into RDS web site with the user and see the applicatoins.  I'm stumped.  I'm sure it's somthing obvious that I'm missing.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

RDS and Office Online Accounts

I have a ticket system which can store attachments including word and excel docs.  The ticket system is being accessed via RDS on a 2012 R2 server.  Each user has an office online account.  Can I open the attached excel and word docs on a RDS server directly into office online for that user?  I am trying not to have to to purchase Office E3 for $20 bucks a head.

If not, will something like Google apps be able to do this versus the $$ racket MS wants?

RD Web Access to RemoteApp SSO

$

I am trying to set up this scenario, and with the most popular SSO post, it doesn't seem to work/isn't meant for this purpose.

A user connects to TS Web Access. They are prompted for their username/password using Forms Authentication (like normal). They are connecting from a non-domain computer. They enter their credentials, and are given a list of RemoteApps to run. When they click on an app, they are given a certificate warning (which is OK) and then another certificate warning (also OK) and are connected to the app using the Forms credentials they entered earlier.

That is the IDEAL scenario. This is what I am experiencing. A user logs in with their account to the form. They connect to the RemoteApp and are prompted for another set of credentials. If I enable SSO, it passes the user's currently logged in (Windows) credentials instead of the form credentials. I also have to change a policy setting on the local box in order to get SSO to work (The delegate credentials one).

So, question 1: Is this even possible?? And question 2: How do I get the Forms credentials to pass to the RemoteApp session?

RDS 2012 R2 - restrict users from accessing local drives - fails to function

So I followed this excellent article but it fails to actually take affect.

Confirmed the GPO is being applied and there's no scoping issues.

The GPO has three enabled 'File Explorer' (new name in 2012) settings, both Hide and Restrict drives A,B,C & D and 'Turn off Windows Libraries features....'.

However a RSOP reveals Libraries are being disabled yet no signs of the other two?  Strange....

Any thoughts?

Users see wrong time on terminal server

$

Hello, at a client some (8 of 20) users (in one office in the Netherlands) see a wrong time in their terminal session. (Windows 2012 R2)  The time is off by one hour.

When they open the Date / Time Screen (from the taskbar) and close it again the time is changed to the correct time.
Their local machines (thin clients) all run on the correct time, they all use the same time zone as all other users in their office.
This client has Offices in two different time zones, Europe (UTC +01:00) and in USA (GMT -4).  Does anyone have an idea what causes this and offcourse, how to solve this? :-)

Hi Guys,

We have the server in windows 2012 R2 standard, in this we have enabled Remote desktop service and we published application via that.

Issue: When we change IIS application pool from "Applicationpoolidentity" to Custom Domain Identity, we will not able to view any application we published through the Remote desktop service. It has viewing folder empty.

Please suggest me if we set custom identity what are the steps we need to do to view our published application on Remote desktop service.

Thanks,

How to correctly configure RDS server to use remote per User cals on windows 2012 R2 environnement?

Hi everybody,

First, sorrry for my english...

I've encountred an issue with two servers windows 2012R2. One (Lserver) is our licence server with RDS per user cals installed and the other one is RDS server (Rserver).

I have configured on the "deploying server" (approximative traduction because my OS is french) screen:

- Broker service on Rserver

- Host for remote desktop on Rserver

- Web accès for remote desktop on Rserver

- Management for licence of RDS service on Lserver

On the screen deployment properties, I have configured per user cals and I have added Lserver on the liste below.

The issue on this configuration is that there is no licence delivred (like there is temporary licence given to users) and a message tell me (traduction from french) "BD services will stop into XX days. On broker server for BD connexions, use management server to specify licence mod for BD services and licence server".

I have tried to suppress a key here but grace period return to 119 days

I have tried to use powershell command but no more succes.

Please help me RDS will make me crazy...
